Fireworks and Poker

After a very busy day, I’ve finally gotten a chance to catch up here. Yesterday was a very exciting day. For starters, I got my shipment from Skylighter. I ordered some smoke crackers, smoke bombs, and three different kinds of fuse. I plan on using the fuse to chain together my fireworks. The fuse was a little expensive, but with 100 feet per roll I think it will last at least three years.

On a related note, I still haven’t been able to get ahold of 2" HDPE pipe for my project. I’m on vacation next week so I’ll have a little time to check on things starting Monday. I really hope I can find it, else my project for the year will be ruined.

On a better note, I made it to a final table. For Patrick’s birthday a bunch of us the KPC group went up to our semi-local Harrahs Prarie Band Casino to play in the $40.00 buy-in no re-buy tournament. It was about a twenty minute drive. The tournament had about 64 total entrants. I managed to make it into the top ten along with Michelle, also from our group. The most uncanny thing was, out of the original eleven players that started at our table, five of us were at the final table. I ended up placing 5th. I went all in on the big blind (blind was 1/2 of my stack) with a King Jack of clubs and got called with Ace King. Ace hight took the pot. I collected $182.00. I took the wife and daughter out for dinner tonight to celebrate. What am I going to spend the money on? Fireworks of course!
