missed the one year mark

Typically I have a yearly post, but I guess this is about the time for that anyway. If I’ve noticed two things from my blog it’s that I never update it and that I never update it. It’s a waste of space and money the way it sits right now.

Lately, I’ve been looking to do some things in the direction of coffee roasting. Not just for me, but for others as well.

With that, I’m thinking about restructuring my domain to be more of a business aid than personal website. Quite frankly, I do most of my personal life sharing via twitter, facebook, and other utilities online that I don’t just feel like blogging about personal life.

This blog has always been leaning toward my hobbies and interests, I just never really took the time to write much, but I hope to change that if it’s coupled with something more than just personal stuff. Besides, it’s getting much easier these days to just write content and let all the technicalities work themselves out. I’ve long been a dissector of all things…by that I mean I literally thought I needed to install WordPress by myself, set up my own media server, try out my own django site, etc. I think all of that is cool, it’s just not something I get passionate about to do long term.

So with that, I haven’t decided whether or not to keep the 6 years of archived posts on this site, or to archive them and not display them anymore.

Time will tell what I decide I guess. Until then, I hope to start from scratch soon and really try to contribute something useful than just random stuff that comes to mind a few times per year that I’m sitting at a machine and logged into my blog.
